BC Zagreb has been waiting since 1970 to win its first trophy so it’s no surprise that the most often word one could hear from the players and club’s management was: “Finally!

Krunoslav Simon had a hard time carrying all the trophies and awards he received after the final match. As the captain of the team he received the trophy for the Cup winners while he also received awards for being MVP and top scorer of the Final Four tournament.
It was a tough game. We were tired after the game against Zadar but somehow we found the strength, demonstrated a lot of desire and it paid off in the best possible way”, Simon commented. Despite all the individual awards he received, Simon didn’t want to put himself in front of the team. “I played well these two games but someone else will step up the next time. This is the first trophy in the club’s history, we deserved to win it and I’m happy to be part of it.

Mario Dundovic also presented excellent performance in the final game and contributed 15 points.
Every second we spent in this arena paid off. We did our best, worked hard and now it all paid off. I cannot describe the feeling”, native of Zadar stated and added: “The fans were great and helped us when we needed it the most. I thank them and I hope to have them on our side in the remainder of the season. Hopefully we will give them more of such games.
